Integration Health Monitor

A feed goes stale or a connector breaks. Caught before the numbers go wrong.

Target KPI Data freshness
Executes in ≤ 30 minutes
System of record Snowflake · BigQuery · SAP connectors
Trigger condition

A feed misses its expected arrival window, or lands with row counts outside the seasonal envelope for that source.

Write-back

Incident opened against the feed; dependent playbooks suppressed and re-enabled on recovery; freshness state written to the warehouse.

Every write is gated on an approver role you name. Nothing runs unattended.

Procedure
  1. Check arrival, volume and schema against the expected envelope for that feed and that day of week.
  2. Distinguish a genuinely late feed from an empty one, because an on-time empty file is the more dangerous failure.
  3. Trace which cards, forecasts and playbooks depend on the feed, and suppress them rather than let them run on stale data.
  4. Raise the incident to the owning team with the blast radius attached, not just the connector name.
  5. Close when the feed recovers, the dependent outputs are recomputed, and the suppression lifts.
Outcome metric

Time from feed failure to detection, and the count of decisions that ran on stale data. The second number should be zero.

The case closes on this number, not on the action being taken. A playbook without a close condition is a dashboard.
